When Biloela State School set out to modernise hydration, they got more than just a practical upgrade. Their new drinking water stations brought together smart design, sustainability, and student pride in a way that felt right for a school with over 100 years of history.
Colour Run turns into better hydration
At Ocean Grove Primary School, better hydration was a team effort. A Colour Run brought the whole school together and raised over 75 percent of the funds for two new Aquafil Hydrobanks.
According to Civiq, students came back to water stations they actually wanted to use, with easy bottle refill access, strong school identity, and a setup built to handle the demands of daily school life.
When better design brought students back
At Berwick College, the old drinking troughs were part of the problem. They looked tired, most taps were out of action, and students steered clear because of their appearance.
The upgrade turned things around fast. Eight new Aquafil Hydrobanks meant 48 places to drink or refill, with custom BASIX artwork bringing the school’s identity to life. Students loved the bottle refill points, and just like that, water was back on the menu.
A practical upgrade backed by the school community
At St Maria Goretti Primary School, a new Hydrobank with a chiller and filter arrived just in time for the heat. What made this project special was the community effort behind it; fundraising and local support brought cold, filtered water to students right when they needed it.
