The National Education Summit Brisbane is an opportunity for educators to keep pace with the fast-changing world of education.

Taking place on Friday 2 – Saturday 3 August at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, this event is packed with insights, resources, and networking chances that can help educators transform their approach.

Conferences

At the core of the Summit are its various conferences, each thoughtfully crafted to tackle key aspects of today’s education. Wellbeing for Future Focused Schools Conference highlights how important teacher and student wellbeing is for not only academic success, but to create strong social bonds and to maintain healthy relationships and responsible lifestyles. This conference will provide delegates with common sense approaches to significantly improve their own wellbeing and mental health. With sessions led by top experts, educators will dive into ways to build supportive environments to help themselves and their students flourish both emotionally and academically.

At the same time, the Capacity Building School Libraries Conference highlights how important libraries are in providing a space where students can gain access to information, develop their digital literacy skills and collaborate with peers. This conference aims to encourage innovation, collaboration, and professional development for educators and school library staff, who can then bring their insights back into their libraries and create this wonderful space for their peers and students.

The Sustainability in Schools Conference is all about giving teachers the tools they need to inspire eco-friendly habits in their students. As the world shifts towards prioritising sustainability, this conference provides a great opportunity to equip delegates with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to address environmental, social, and economic challenges through the curriculum for a more sustainable future.

The AI in the Classroom Conference explores where education meets technology, and the role that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play in Australian classrooms. As technology continues to evolve, our educational landscape is also evolving, and AI has emerged as a powerful tool that has the potential to reshape the way we teach and learn. By embracing AI responsibly, we can create a future where education is more personalised, efficient, and effective in preparing students for the ever-evolving world.

Knowledge Centre

Complementing the conferences is the Knowledge Centre, a hub of free sessions offering a wealth of insights and practical strategies. Here, educators can engage in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and demonstrations, tailored to address emerging trends and challenges in education. Whether it’s harnessing the power of digital tools or fostering inclusivity in the classroom, the Knowledge Centre provides a platform for continuous professional development and collaboration.

The Education Show

The Education Show, the official Exhibition of the National Education Summit, will provide a lively hub of innovation and creativity. As visitors explore the exhibition hall, they will discover exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in teaching and learning resources. From cutting-edge technology to innovative curriculum solutions, the Education Show offers a glimpse into the future of education. It serves as a space for educators to connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and explore partnerships aimed at enriching the educational experience for students.
