In 2026, the National Education Summit returns to two major cities, bringing its dynamic, conference-led professional development experience to Brisbane and Melbourne.
Designed to support educators at every stage of their career – from emerging educators to experienced classroom teachers and school leaders – the Summit delivers practical, research-informed learning that can be implemented immediately.
Brisbane will host the Summit on Thursday 14 – Friday 15 May 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, followed by Melbourne on Thursday 3 – Friday 4 September 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Across both cities, educators can choose from four dedicated conference streams, each running across two full days and allowing for deep engagement with content aligned to their professional focus.
Wellbeing for Future Focused Schools Conference
Wellbeing remains central to school communities. This conference explores strategies to support educator wellbeing, enhance student wellbeing, and implement effective whole-school approaches. Sessions focus on practical frameworks that reduce burnout, build resilience, and foster thriving school cultures.
Capacity Building School Libraries Conference
As libraries continue to evolve into dynamic learning hubs, this stream examines AI and digital literacy, leadership, reading culture, and professional growth. Designed for teacher librarians and school leaders, the program highlights how libraries can lead innovation, strengthen literacy outcomes, and support inclusive, future-ready learning environments.
AI in the Classroom Conference
Artificial intelligence is reshaping education. This conference moves beyond theory to provide practical, ethical and classroom-ready approaches to AI integration. Educators will explore how AI can enhance planning, assessment, differentiation and student creativity, while maintaining strong pedagogical foundations.
Diverse Learners Symposium
Focused on inclusive education, this stream equips educators with evidence-based strategies to support diverse learning needs. Key themes include inclusive classroom practice, neurodiversity, and mental health and emotional wellbeing – empowering schools to create environments where every learner can succeed.
What sets the National Education Summit apart is its strong emphasis on application. Attendees leave not only inspired, but equipped with practical strategies, research-informed approaches, and real-world case studies ready to implement straight away. Just as importantly, the Summit provides opportunities to connect and network with passionate educators, fostering collaboration and shared professional growth.
With two cities, four targeted conference streams, and programs shaped by the evolving needs of Australian schools, the National Education Summit continues to set the benchmark for meaningful professional learning.
