For the second consecutive year, The Lakes College (TLC) has ranked in the top three for both Primary and Secondary NAPLAN results in the Moreton Region.

Its Primary students achieved the best results in the region as the number one top performing school, with an impressive average score of 529.4. Additionally, its Secondary students maintained high standards with an average score of 584.4, the third top performing school in the region.

“These outstanding results reflect our commitment to excellence and personal bests,” the College said.

“At The Lakes College, we believe in helping our students achieve their personal bests. Much like athletes chasing records, our learners are encouraged to surpass their own limits both in and out of the classroom. This approach not only celebrates individual accomplishments but also fosters collective success.”

The College said it has strategically invested in the Walker Learning approach for its Primary students, a well-researched method that provides a solid foundation for early learners.

“Furthermore, our systematic commitment to phonics underscores our dedication to equipping students with essential skills for future success.

“In our Secondary School, we place a strong emphasis on excellence in teaching and learning. By focusing on critical and creative thinking, we aim to develop students into future-focused thinkers who consistently strive for academic excellence,” the College said.

Recognising the importance of continuous improvement, The Lakes College said it remains committed to providing a rich learning environment for all students.

“We are actively exploring new ways to enhance educational outcomes further.

“Congratulations to all our staff and students for their contributions to these exceptional NAPLAN results. This collective success is a direct result of the daily efforts invested in creating a conducive and engaging learning environment. Let’s continue to strive for excellence and celebrate our achievements together!,” the College said.
