Regional students will be front and centre of the conversation during the NSW Department of Education’s 2025 Schools Roadshow, when senior executives – led by Secretary Murat Dizdar – visit 10 locations across the state.

The education roadshow will bring together more than 1,000 public school principals and leaders at locations including Tweed Heads, Batemans Bay, Orange, Inverell and Albury.

The Secretary and senior executive will hear from school leaders across the entire state, with the key goal of delivering better educational outcomes for students.

Mr Dizdar said the roadshow, which will be held in schools, was an important opportunity to ensure the voices of those educating students outside of metro areas helped shape the future of education in NSW.

“We want to understand the local realities – the barriers, the success stories and the support needed – to help every student succeed. That’s why these roadshows are so important,” he said.

Mr Dizdar said the roadshow workshops would give educators the opportunity to discuss the priorities that matter most for improving student outcomes, from explicit teaching, staffing and infrastructure to evidence-based student wellbeing and curriculum delivery.

“This is not just a one-way conversation, it’s a chance to listen, to learn and to lead together,” he said.

“We want to ensure every student, no matter where they live, has access to a world class education – and that requires maintaining understanding of the realities on the ground.

“This is also a great opportunity for school leaders to strengthen their professional networks by connecting with their peers from across their region.”

The 2025 Schools Roadshow will visit:

  • 13 May – Figtree High School
  • 14 May – Batemans Bay High School
  • 16 May – Georges River College – Oatley Senior Campus
  • 27 May – Tweed River High School
  • 28 May – Callaghan College – Jesmond Senior Campus
  • 30 May – Orange High School
  • 13 June – Inverell High School
  • 25 June – Epping Boys High School
  • 1 July – James Fallon High School
