The National Education Summit 2023 will be held at both the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 16 to 17 June, and then at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 4 to 5 August 2023. The Summit will offer teachers the opportunity to engage with thought leaders in education and develop new skills in the conference’s key focus areas including STEM, Diverse Learners, Wellbeing, Literacy and Libraries, and the Classroom of the Future.

Australian teachers are facing complex challenges at present. These include the adoption of new technologies into the classroom; the development of students’ 21st century skills; the inclusion of diverse learners; the changing nature of literacy, and the wellbeing of their students and colleagues.

“We have been privileged to host the National Education Summit for a number of years now and have seen first-hand the changing landscape of teaching,” says Ms Marie Kinsella, CEO of International Exhibition & Conference Group.

“Classroom practice and strategies are always changing and dynamic and part of why we are excited to present educators with all the most up-to-date information all in one place.”

Teachers are invited to explore The Classroom of the Future and gain a new understanding of the latest tools and technologies available in the classroom including Virtual and Augmented Reality.
The Diverse Learners Symposium will bring educators together with the common goal of working towards making classrooms diverse and inclusive for all students.

COMPREHENSIVE, INTERACTIVE AND INSPIRING

The National Education Summit will present educators with the latest in education research, information, technology and skills.

“Our teachers play such an important foundational role in the country’s social and economic growth. The Summit offers a comprehensive program that speaks to the complexity of the work that our teachers do,” says Ms Kinsella.

The National Education Summit aims to provide the highest standard of professional development across key themes in the K-12 education sector and to ensure that participants have the latest, most innovative and relevant learnings to build their capacity as educators.

The National Education Summit will strive to achieve these in the following ways:

  • Demonstrate our vested interest in Australian Education, with people who know and love our education community by offering a platform for professional learning.
  • Create a collaborative, face-to-face community for the education sector to meet, share and grow.
  • Provide opportunities for educators to present and share their ideas in a supportive environment (both new and experienced teachers).
  • Manage and curate content to provide high quality professional learning options for educators.
  • Provide a platform for educational vendors to engage educator audiences in an interactive, experiential, collaborative environment.

Attendees will benefit from the exciting seminars and interactive panel discussions, as well as face-to-face networking opportunities that complement the Summit.
The event will be a great chance for educators to network, exchange ideas, and reconnect with like minded people working in the education sector in Australia and abroad.

80 EDUCATION SPECIALISTS ON A MISSION

The National Education Summit offers guests a line-up of six individual conferences, presented by over 80 leading educational specialists. Each conference is focused on a key pillar, including STEM, Diverse Learners, Wellbeing, Literacy and Libraries, as well as the Classroom of the Future. Alongside the conferences, The Education Show (a free trade expo) brings together over 100 exhibitors, showcasing the latest educational resources, products, technologies, programs and tools.

The event has drawn key educational organisations including:

  • The GROK Academy
  • Australian Education Union
  • Awards Victoria
  • Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria (DLTV)
  • School Library Association Victoria (SLAV)
  • Berry Street Educational Model
  • Queensland School Library Association (QSLA)
  • Eduwebinar
  • Salutegenics
  • The Big Sister Experience
  • Victorian Commercial Teacher’s Association

“Registration has both free and paid options, making this Summit accessible to all schools,” says Ms Kinsella. “In addition, attending teachers will earn CPD points for the time they spend at the Summit,” she concludes.

Attending principals and teachers will benefit from the exciting seminars and interactive panel discussions, as well as face-to-face networking opportunities that complement the Summit.
