Professional development The National Education Summit 2023

The National Education Summit Practical Activation Program offers attendees free professional development opportunities from experts featured at the event.

The National Education Summit is offering teachers 21 practical activations – all eligible for professional development (PD) hours – with free registration.

“Various conference sessions explore the emergence of new technology in the classroom, both as tools for learning and as tools for teaching. We know that to help teachers really embrace new technologies, we need to provide them with opportunities for practical, hands-on engagement,” says Margo Metcalf, Creative Director, IEC Group (organisers of the National Education Summit).

“Our free Practical Activation Program does just that, building teacher knowledge through interactive learning sessions, facilitated by experts”.

The experts include specialists from the Grok Academy, The Brainary and Dya Australia, demonstrating how to teach programming and coding, robotics and cybersecurity, to data analysis techniques, creative art and the development of digital literacy.

“Teachers will leave these sessions with loads of great ideas for lesson plans, activities and tasks which they can implement in their own classrooms,” adds Margo.

The Practical Activation Program runs over two days (16 – 17 June 2023) at the National Education Summit in Melbourne.

“Places are limited, so we encourage teachers to register early,” concludes Margo.

The complete line-up of activations and registration information is available at https://nationaleducationsummit.com.au/melbourne/practical-activations.

Featured at the National Education Summit, Dya Australia offers experiential art and creative thinking workshops through face-to-face and online classes.
