Presbyterian Ladies’ College’s (PLC) Year 12 students are celebrating their incredible accomplishments following the release of this year’s VCE results.
Of the 116 girls who completed VCE, 67 of PLC’s students achieved an ATAR of 90+, representing 58 per cent of year 12 students. The schools median ATAR for 2023 is 92.25.
– 11% per cent achieved an ATAR of 99+ (placing them in the top 1 per cent)
– 20% per cent achieved an ATAR of 98+ (placing them in the top 2 per cent)
– 38% per cent achieved an ATAR of 95+ (placing them in the top 5 per cent)
– 58% per cent achieved an ATAR of 90+ (placing them in the top 10 per cent)
PLC Principal Mrs Cheryl Penberthy commended students for their results and their achievements throughout the year.
“Congratulations to students across the entire state for their hard work and resilience in what can be a challenging year. Each student should feel incredibly proud of what they have achieved this year,” Mrs Penberthy said.
“Our students have demonstrated dedication to their studies while wholeheartedly embracing everything PLC has to offer. Today, we celebrate their academic achievements across a wide range of subjects and recognise our girls’ commitment to all their extracurricular activities and community service projects.”
Mrs Penberthy said a strong school community is vital in supporting students as they approach the VCE finish line.
“The foundation of this community begins with the care and dedication of our wonderful teachers. We are look forward to the continued personal growth and success of all the members of our Class of 2023 in the years ahead. We are confident they will make a positive contribution to society in whatever pathway they choose,” she said.
Results for the 35 PLC students who undertook the International Baccalaureate (IB) will be released on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
