The International Expo Group (IEG) – which organises the National Education Summit – has announced a signed agreement with Woxsen University, Hyderabad (India), confirming the university’s status as IEG’s global education partner.

IEG CEO Ms Marie Kinsella said the group is delighted to partner with Woxsen University.

“Not only is Woxsen recognised among the world’s leading educational institutions, it is home to some of the most respected academics, researchers and innovators, in fields ranging from business and law, to technology, sciences, architecture, design and the humanities. We are very proud to be a part of this global network of change-makers,” Ms Kinsella said.

A collaboration at the cutting edge

According to the terms of the agreement, Woxsen University will provide high-profile senior members of its faculty to participate in each of the upcoming National Education Summit events. The 2025 events are scheduled to take place from 31 July to 1 August in Brisbane, and 28 to 29 August in Melbourne.

“It has always been our goal to deliver exceptional events that truly benefit local industries, including the education sector,” Ms Kinsella said.

“The inclusion of Woxsen members in our line-up of National Education Summit presenters sets us apart, and enables us to deliver cutting-edge educational content.

“We are also excited to welcome visiting teachers from India and other countries who will be making their way to Australia to attend the Summit along with other complementary activities,” she said.

This partnership also facilitates collaboration between Australia and India, setting the foundations for further relationship building, knowledge sharing and development.

Dr Raul Villamarin Rodriguez, Vice President of Woxsen University, was among the presenters for the 2024 National Education Summit. His seminar sessions addressed the intersection of talent and technology, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities for education leaders.

“Dr Rodriguez is a highly regarded Cognitive Technologist, and an expert on the intersection of cognitive psychology with new technologies including machine learning, computer vision, robotics and AI. His seminar sessions were interactive, practical and empowered attendees with valuable skills and know-how. We look forward to further collaboration with Dr Rodriguez and his Woxsen University colleagues in the future,” Ms Kinsella said.

Exciting opportunities for engagement

Planning for the 2025 National Education Summit events is underway, and the International Expo Group is inviting presenters and exhibitors to get involved.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for educators, education specialists and tech experts to be part of an event that unpacks the challenges facing the education sector and empowers teachers and principals to lead the future of education,” Ms Margo Metcalf, creative director of IEG, said.

For exhibiting brands, the Summit presents a platform to connect with prospects and grow their networks.

“We are so excited to be working with our partners at Woxsen University, sharing the vision of empowering professionals through a cutting-edge education offering and international network. We can’t wait to open the doors to the 2025 National Education Summit events,” Ms Metcalf said.
