The Bright Awards are a nation-wide creative arts competition designed specifically for high school students in years 10, 11 and 12. The Bright Awards recognise up-and-coming designers and support the future of the arts in high schools across Australia.

The Bright Awards feature eight categories: 3D Animation, Graphic Design, Games, UX & Web Design, Film & Video, Fashion Design, Photography and Interior Design.

Winners receive a cash prize of $1000 to continue pursuing their creative careers, and their school also receives $3000 to continue providing an environment for emerging talent to exercise their skills in design and creative technology.

Courtesy of Billy Blue College of Design at Torrens University Australia, the Bright Awards highlight emerging talent across secondary schools in Australia.

Billy Blue College of Design’s Bright Awards give students the chance to have their work recognised by industry experts. Plus, monetary prizes for both students and schools go towards kick-starting creative dreams.

A school will also be awarded the Bright School of the Year Award, highlighting that school’s ability to produce talented students in the fields of digital and traditional design.

Entries open: 28 Mar – 14 Nov 2022
Winners announced: 5 Dec 2022
