Lioncrest Education has announced a significant change to its distribution operations, confirming that from July 1, 2026, its products will be distributed by Woodslane Pty Ltd.
The move marks a new chapter for the long-standing educational supplier, which has been owned and operated by Terry and Carol Hughes since 1991. Over the past 35 years, Lioncrest Education has built a strong reputation for providing quality educational resources to primary schools across Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Terry Hughes, OAM, said the transition reflects both a milestone and an opportunity for future growth.
“After 35 years of successfully distributing quality educational resources to primary schools in Australia and New Zealand, we are looking forward to stepping confidently into a new chapter,” Mr Hughes said. “As of the end of June 2026, we will hand over to Woodslane. Lioncrest Education believes this venture will give renewed energy for a successful future.”
Mr Hughes emphasised that despite the operational change, the company’s core mission will remain the same.
“Lioncrest Education is embracing this change while staying true to our heritage of providing schools with quality educational resources,” he said. “I believe that it is vitally important for our young learners to have access to current top-quality books and resources, rather than just giving students worksheets.”
Lioncrest Education is widely known for supplying a substantial range of decodable readers to schools, along with an extensive collection of reading materials aimed at middle-grade students.
Under the new arrangement, stock will be available from Woodslane’s Sydney warehouse beginning July 1, ensuring continued access for educators and institutions across the region.
