Founded in California in 1987, ViewSonic is a world-leading visual solutions provider with more than 30 local offices around the world, including Australia, and is in the top three visual display product brands in the USA. Its products are sold in more than 125 countries and it has the distinction of having been awarded more than 3,000 awards globally for both its products and services.

ViewSonic, having served Australian customers for over 15 years, is a brand that has a very established commitment to the Australian market, and some of you out there might even recognise that its logo features Gouldian Finches that are native to our country.

ViewSonic has just launched its impressive new range of large-format touch displays to the Australian Market, providing truly professional hardware functionality and customised software integration combined with commercial build quality standards. Careful thought has gone into every element of the range, with many considerations being made specifically for the education market in terms of both the product and software. Let’s explore these pro-features in detail.

Easy for presentation without the needs of PCs

Equipped with a powerful dual-core processor, the touchscreens provide smooth, lightning-fast computing no matter what applications are running. The new range offers 10-point touch-enabled, annotation software (ViewBoard Lite), allowing multiple users the ability to write, draw or annotate with fingers or stylus devices simultaneously. You are also able to playback presentation files and multimedia contents directly from onboard 8GB memory, USB drive, and even surf the Internet via the LAN connection. All of this comprehensive functionality without a PC connected.

Optional high-powered proprietary slot-in optional PC

You can also take advantage of the optional slot-in PC with Windows® Pro OS and ViewBoard 2.0 whiteboard annotation software. Using this slot-in PC it allows you to use Office Suite applications, and download all types of applications with no cable connections.

Bundled ViewBoard 2.0 annotation software

All units ship with ViewBoard 2.0 PC edition whiteboard annotation software. This fully-featured version of the software lets you write, highlight, edit, and transform documents and images on-screen in real-time. It also features screen recording, magnifier, spotlight features and education specific templates enhancing student engagement and teaching efficiency. Beyond this advanced annotation software, a growing list of free and low-cost apps are available to choose from via the Windows Store, giving educators greater access to cutting-edge, low-cost, education applications including reading, writing, and math-related apps.

Protective ID design ensures durability and safety in classrooms

A rounded-corner design provides a safer learning environment for active students by helping to prevent injuries in the classroom and it features 7H scratch-resistant surface hardness that ensures durability, as well as a consistent, high-quality touch experience. In addition, an anti-glare film improves screen visibility in bright environments. A magnetic feature to the bezel also provides the perfect spot for the stylus when it is not in use.

Eye-Care technologies create comfort viewing environment

The current range adopts Flicker-free and Blue Light Filter eye-care technologies. By nearly eliminating screen flickering at all brightness levels by providing a constant LED light source and reduce blue light exposure, the display ensures longer viewing time and increase eye comfort for presentation and multimedia experience – without eye fatigue.

RS232 connectivity for easy multi-device management

RS232 connectivity enables computers and laptops to be connected. RS232 connectivity also allows IT personnel to conveniently manage multiple displays, configure devices, and upgrade firmware from a centralised location. This provides schools the ability to better maintain and control large numbers of displays from a single location.

Windows/Mac operation

Screens are compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems.
*Mac edition of ViewBoard software is also available as an optional extra.

Peace of mind with a three-year onsite warranty

Viewsonic has had a local office in Australia since 2002 and prides itself in providing local, post-sale technical support and exceptional warranty. For example in instances where required, Viewsonic will dispatch a technician to provide on-site warranty repair or collection/swapping of items where needed.

Being a leading global brand with a long-standing commitment to the Australian market and an emphasis on visual display technologies, you can certainly enjoy peace of mind in the build-quality, reliability and support of your investment.

The Viewsonic interactive commercial display range is available in 55”, 65”, 70” and 84″ sizes. For more information and special education pricing contact:
