Cengage is offering primary educators access to a series of free professional learning webinars throughout 2026, as schools across Australia continue to prioritise literacy achievement and evidence-based teaching practices.
The Nelson Primary 2026 Webinar Series will bring together some of Australia’s most respected literacy educators and thought leaders, providing teachers with practical strategies they can apply immediately in the classroom.
According to Cengage, the webinar program addresses key areas of literacy instruction, including reading, writing, vocabulary development, structured literacy and knowledge-rich curriculum design. Sessions are designed to help educators bridge the gap between research and practice while supporting improved student outcomes.
Featured presenters include:
- Ms Anna Burkey, CEO of Australia Reads
- Ms Jacinta Conway, Founder of Impact Tuition with 20 years of experience across the UK and Australia
- Teacher, Instructional Coach and Writer Dr Nathaniel Swain
- Literacy Coach and Consultant Ms Amanda Sutera of Hand on Heads
Each presenter will bring extensive classroom experience and a strong focus on translating evidence-based approaches into actionable teaching strategies.
“The series is already generating strong engagement from educators,” Cengage said. “An earlier session presented by Anna Burkey, Using Rich Texts to Build Knowledge and Strengthen Literacy Outcomes, can now watch the recording on demand and access the practical insights shared during the session.”

Educators still have the opportunity to register for upcoming sessions featuring Dr Swain and Ms Sutera, who will share further evidence-based approaches to literacy instruction and curriculum design.
The webinars form part of Cengage’s ongoing commitment to supporting Australian teachers through high-quality professional learning and trusted educational resources.
